Understand the changes.
Explore your options.
Changes in how you feel deserve a thoughtful conversation. Explore hormone replacement therapy for women and men with care centered on your symptoms, health history, and goals.
An informed decision.
Care built around you.
Small messengers.
An important role
in your well-being.
Hormones help regulate many functions in the body. When symptoms suggest a hormone-related change, understanding the cause comes first.
Hebe Hormone & Wellness offers hormone replacement therapy, including bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), for women and men in Naples, Florida.
“Bioidentical” describes hormones with the same chemical structure as hormones made by the body. It does not, by itself, mean that a medication is safer or the right choice for everyone.
Your symptoms, medical history, and appropriate testing help guide a discussion of whether treatment may be suitable for you.
Changes worth
talking about.
Symptoms can overlap with other health conditions. A consultation can help you explore possible causes and decide on next steps.
When things feel different.
- Hot flashes or night sweats
- Vaginal dryness
- Sleep disturbances
- Changes in sexual interest
- Fatigue or low energy
- Mood or memory changes
- Weight or muscle changes
- Joint pain or menstrual headaches
For appropriate patients, menopausal hormone therapy can help relieve hot flashes, night sweats, and vaginal symptoms. The treatment and its risks depend on your individual circumstances.
Make sense of the changes.
- Decreased sex drive
- Erectile difficulties
- Fatigue or low energy
- Decreased muscle mass
- Weight or body-fat changes
- Mood changes or irritability
- Sleep disturbances
- Memory concerns
Testosterone treatment may be considered when symptoms occur alongside consistently low testosterone confirmed by blood tests. Symptoms alone do not establish a diagnosis.
These are topics to discuss with your provider, not a diagnostic checklist. Hormone therapy is not a guaranteed treatment for weight gain, fatigue, mood changes, or memory concerns.
More than one approach.
One individual decision.
Hormone therapy comes in oral, topical, injectable, and pellet forms. The appropriate medication and form depend on the hormone being treated, your health history, and your preferences.
Understanding compounded hormones. Some bioidentical medications are FDA-approved; compounded products are not. Compounded hormones have not been shown to be safer or more effective than FDA-approved options. Discuss the reason for any compounded prescription, alternatives, and risks with your provider. A little clarity
before you begin.
Use these answers as a starting point for a conversation about your own health.
Is hormone therapy right for everyone?
No. Treatment depends on your symptoms, diagnosis, medical history, and individual risks. A provider can help you consider hormonal and nonhormonal options.
Are bioidentical hormones always compounded?
No. “Bioidentical” describes the hormone’s chemical structure. There are both FDA-approved bioidentical medications and compounded preparations. They do not have the same regulatory review.
What benefits can I realistically expect?
Benefits depend on the condition being treated and the medication prescribed. Menopausal hormone therapy can relieve certain menopause symptoms. Testosterone may help selected symptoms in men with confirmed hypogonadism. Individual responses vary.
What should I know about risks?
Risks and side effects vary by medication, dose, route, and your health history. Discuss your personal risks with your provider. Testosterone therapy can reduce fertility; pellet placement also has procedure-related risks such as infection, bleeding, or pellet extrusion.
